cans
In the US, aluminum is recycled more often than glass or plastic and 75% of the aluminum in use today is recycled. Unlike plastic that degrades over time, aluminum can be infinitely recycled. Cans also cost less to ship, both in dollars and in carbon emissions. At Humm, since having produced kombucha in cans, we have taken over 380 trucks off the road over 3 years. Plus cans are more adventure-ready. Wanna go on a multi-day hike or a paddle on the river? How about a 5-hour mountain bike or a picnic with friends? Pack a Humm in a can - it tastes incredible and when you're done enjoying your well-earned snack, you can pack it down and pack it out.

water
Humm is brewed in the High Desert. We’re mindful of the water that we use ‘round here as it is not an unlimited resource. In the last 3 years, we have reduced our water usage by 30% for every gallon of kombucha we create. How is this possible? Well, we have some pretty awesome brewers! They've figured out how to make our process even more efficient. This allows us not only to be better stewards of our land, but also the ability to innovate cool products like the one you're holding.

global sustainability
We are on a path to become B Corp certified. What does that mean? The B Corp Mission is: Make Business a Force for Good. B Lab is the nonprofit network transforming the global economy to benefit all people, communities, and the planet. Yes! That’s what we believe! And that's why we're on our way to becoming B Corp certified. Check it out here to see what it’s all about. We think you’ll love it too. https://www.bcorporation.net/en-us/certification
